Angling lost a legendary angler, educator, and industry icon earlier this week with the passing of Ron Lindner. Ron’s passion for angling was always apparent and that passion kept him actively engaged in “creating new anglers”, a mission the Future Angler Foundation (FAF) shared with Ron to the end.
Ron and the Lindner family have actively supported the FAF since its formation in 2012 by allowing the FAF to auction “days on the water” with Ron, Al, and James Lindner to raise funds at their annual banquet.
These auctions brought in significant revenues for the foundation each year. Over 95% of the funds raised as a result of those fundraising auctions as well as funds from other public/foundation donations go to purchasing rods, reels, and other necessities that are donated to angling education programs across the country each year.
With Ron’s passing the Lindner Family graciously approved a fundraising initiative to honor Ron and his support of the Future Angler Foundation. Funds raised for the FAF until Wednesday, December 16th will be donated in Ron’s name.
Please consider donating to the Future Angler Foundation today by clicking on the link below. Even if you are unable to give, you can help by sharing this initiative on your social media pages and with everyone in your angling network.
Thank you for your support of Ron’s passion and the FAF’s mission to “Create New Anglers”!
